In this workshop, you will learn the essential skills and considerations in planning for hazard mitigation and disaster recovery with a real case study from a coastal community.
Using Hurricane Harvey as a case study, you will learn about wind and flooding impacts, common mitigation methods, and community recovery needs, including the use of green infrastructure, strategies to revitalize economic activity, commercial districts, and restoring livability in residential neighborhoods.
