PAYING FOR CLIMATE ACTION AND PLAN FOR FEDERAL FUNDING AND INCENTIVES
Join RMI and the World Resources Institute for the sixth installment of our Federal Funding Learning Series to introduce our “AFFORD” tool and unpack relevant upcoming federal opportunities. “AFFORD” (America’s Federal Funding Opportunities and Resources for Decarbonization) makes it easy for state and local governments, tribes, higher education, faith, health care, and cultural institutions to find, compare, and prioritize federal funding opportunities for clean energy and decarbonization projects.
AFFORD is the latest upgrade to the tool formerly known as FFOLD, now packed with more Inflation Reduction Act incentives and redesigned for easier navigation and a broader audience. After introducing the tool and our enhanced and highly tactical “Funding Guidance,” we will highlight a few upcoming federal programs and incentives that should be on your radar and take questions based on your direct experience navigating new and existing federal programs. Learn more and register.
RMI Launch of HOMEBUILDERSCAN to Reduce Embodied Carbon Initiatives
Join us as homebuilder and embodied carbon expert Chris Magwood introduces HomebuildersCAN: a supportive Carbon Action Network initiative. Developed by RMI with an industry stakeholder group, HomebuildersCAN will support builders as they learn about embodied carbon and provide the industry with a consistent approach to incorporate embodied carbon into decarbonization strategies. The program will assist members in three key areas: 1) increasing performance on embodied emissions from new homes, 2) advocate for alignment across the sector, and 3) adopt and scale profitable climate-smart building practices. Meeting climate targets requires that the building construction industry addresses embodied carbon emissions for holistic sector decarbonization, in line with RMI’s mission to secure a clean, prosperous, and zero-carbon future for all.
